Bristol Print Museum are partnering with the Campaign Against Whimsical Letterpress to raise awareness of print’s historical significance. Gone are the whimsical pleasantries – we’re giving power back to the printed word.
Use antique wood type that was used in the local newspaper industry to print your own poster! It can say anything you want; the only rule? It must say something meaningful to you…

All materials are provided, so just bring yourselves!
All ages and abilities welcome (and encouraged!)
No previous experience needed (but fun even for experts!)

This can be run as a drop-in workshop at an event, or run in a one hour slot.
Here are the options available as part of my fundraising event:

• 1 hour private group workshop (1-6 people)
• 1 hour private group workshop (6-12 people)
• 1 hour event drop-in (max 40 people)
• 1 hour event drop-in (40 – 200 people)

But this can be easily adapted and personalised for your needs.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This is an art workshop, so there is always a risk clothes may get a little ink on, however it uses water-based craft ink pads for easier cleaning.
